About Woodland Hills
Often grouped together with Warner Center, Woodland Hills is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of the greater Los Angeles area with approximately 65,000 residents.
Woodland Hills is primarily a residential community, so you’ll need a car to get around. While most errands will require a drive, there are several main roads that have dedicated bike paths, and Metro’s bus route 164 serves the area as well.
The upside is that the area has a wide variety of parks and other green spaces, from the playground and bandshell at Warner Ranch Park to the hiking paths leading to impressive views of the valley at Marvin Braude Mulholland Gateway Park.
Whether you’ve got a family with school-aged children or you’re a young adult looking to start working towards your degree, educational opportunities abound in Woodland Hills. Most of the public schools serving the community have ratings between 8 and 10 on GreatSchools, including California Distinguished School Woodland Hills Elementary Charter for Enriched Studies. For post-secondary studies, two-year Pierce College has a campus in Westwood that includes a nature preserve, 226-acre farm, and even a redwood forest in addition to its more than 100 degree programs.
