About Toluca Lake
Toluca Lake is a neighborhood of approximately 10,000 residents in the San Fernando Valley region, bordered by Lankershim Blvd. to the west, Clybourn Ave. to the east, the Los Angeles River to the south, and bisected by the Ventura Freeway.
If you make your home in Toluca Lake, chances are that you’ll be able to walk to several restaurants, bars, or coffee shops, as it is one of the more walkable communities in the greater Los Angeles area.
On the other hand, if you have school-aged children, they’ll likely attend school outside of Toluca Lake: the majority of the area is served by schools outside of the community’s boundaries. However, Toluca Lake Elementary on the northwest side of the neighborhood is ranked in the top 12% of all LAUSD schools and is an LAUSD Honor School.
There is a lake in Toluca Lake—but be aware that, in order to access it, you’ll either need to join the Lakeside Golf club on the south shore or know a homeowner of one of the 33 homes that surround it (…or buy one of them!).
